Job Description

 

IT Business Analyst with relevant experience is required for a large financial services company based in Johannesburg.

 

Duties:

  • Ensure alignment to relevant processes and compliance to legislative and audit requirements.
  • Assess, analyse and optimise end-to end business processes that are signed off by the business by documenting business process requirements through research, interviews or facilitation sessions. Assess current business processes, procedures and business rules  in conjunction with business partners, designing new and mapping existing business processes
  • Compile business requirements documentation together with the business sponsor and manage the process of compiling business and functional and non functional requirements
  • Appropriate milestone management and logging of documents and following the appropriate SDLC.
  • Understand and assist in creating the best and most suitable solution design solution that meet the user requirement.
  • Oversee the compilation of test scripts, compiled through testing and audit the test results.
  • Provide test cases and scenarios for implemented systems, test projects and system changes in the various environments and assess current business rules, processes and procedures
  • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively shared

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma  in IT or related
  • Project Management Certificate (NQF 5)
  • SQL and Object-Oriented Databases
  • SharePoint Certificate
  • EPM Certificate
  • QlikView an advantage

PMO MIS Reporting Analyst

Role purpose

To demonstrate competence in MIS reporting, solution development and process design with a solid understanding of PMO systems like EPM and SharePoint, to be able to add meaningful contribution and value add. Must possess an inherent passion for technology and innovation.

MIS Reporting

  • Create proposals for reporting improvements that address needs identified in the project, program and portfolio performance analysis.
  • Create presentations that support portfolio, program and project level financial, performance and compliance
  • Design and build reports related to project performance, accuracy and integrity of project data
  • Build and maintain robust reporting platform e.g. QlikView and Microsoft Excel
  • Collate and aggregate large data from multiple sources
  • Work with advanced excel formulas
  • Write Excel VBA macros to automate complex functions
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from SQL database
  • Understand and maintain a list of business requirements related to PMO systems
  • Designing Ad hoc reports to highlight KPIs and various other measures
  • Develop solutions to improve on business procedures and eliminate repetitive business functions

EPM/SharePoint Support

  • Provide frontend support for EPM
  • Collate maintain EPM requirements from a user and backend perspective
  • Able to work with SharePoint list and forms
  • Manage user permissions and groups on SharePoint and EPM
  • Creates, enhances and maintains the EPM, performance and compliance reports
